A fragmented landscape of standalone ASP.NET apps, re-platformed into a single enterprise ecosystem — shared identity, microservices and micro-frontends across every dealership function.
Trichur Santhanam & Sons is one of South India's leading automotive dealership groups, operating across vehicle sales, after-sales service, dealer operations, contractor management, incentive administration and customer engagement.
Over the years, business applications had been built independently on classic ASP.NET. Each served its purpose, but together they had hardened into isolated technology silos — duplicated data, disconnected user experiences and fragmented processes. Every application carried its own database, authentication, business rules, reporting and administration, and that sprawl created real friction:
- Fragmented experience — separate credentials and interfaces for every system.
- Duplicate data & logic — the same information maintained in many places, eroding accuracy.
- Limited visibility — no consolidated view of sales, service, dealer performance or incentives.
- Manual reporting — critical reports needed heavy data consolidation by hand.
- Delayed incentives — calculations spanned multiple systems, pushing payouts into the following month.
- Limited scalability — adding capabilities or integrations grew steadily harder.
Tibura opened with a comprehensive discovery and modernization assessment — mapping not just the technology, but the business processes behind it: the application landscape and its integration dependencies, the sales, service, incentive, dealer and contractor workflows, and the data flows driving reporting.
The findings pointed to one conclusion: rather than rebuild each application in isolation, establish a reusable enterprise foundation. We proposed a platform-first modernization strategy — a shared foundation every present and future application could build on:
- A unified enterprise platform with centralized identity and security
- Microservices and micro-frontend architecture
- Enterprise data consolidation and real-time visibility
- Open integration standards and shared administration services
Platform foundation
Centralized Identity & Access Management
The security backbone — one centralized platform replacing fragmented, per-application authentication.
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Unified user management
- Role-based access control
- Security-group administration
- Permission-based authorization & access scoping
- Audit logging & application governance
Organizational hierarchy framework
A configurable hierarchy model for enterprise-scale governance and controlled data visibility.
- Company, branch & department hierarchy
- Business-unit structures
- Data access scoping
- Role inheritance models
Micro-frontend architecture
Each business application can evolve and deploy independently while presenting one unified experience.
Microservices platform
The legacy monolithic environment, re-architected into modern, independently deployable services (core services listed under “Under the hood”).
